As an example, I have been making videos for about a year now and while unpartnered I made a total of $0.31 since joining PGUK (a Freedom Network partner) last month I have made a staggering $0.41 ... No its not a typo. If your in this for the money, your in this for the wrong reasons :)

I too use Sony Vegas and have recently started using PowerDirector 14 and am very impressed with it, especially the render times. I have also tried Light Works which I thought was ok but found would not edit clips which had different frame rates.

As well as what has been said above you should also check the date on your graphics card drivers... You can do this by hitting the windows key and r at the same time. Type dxdiag and hit OK or enter. If you get a pop up asking if you want to check if your drivers are digitally signed click yes...

If you have the black bars while editing as well, right click on the video in the editing bar, select Video Event Pan/Crop, right click again on the picture in the new window and select Match Output Aspect. Assuming you have your Sony Vegas set to render in 720p thus will get rid of the black bars
