It will be hard to partner a channel that has no videos. I think Freedom! would rather partner a channel that shows at least some videos than none at all. I would personally put a few videos on your channel first.

Welcome to Freedom. Just keep working on making videos and be consistent with uploading and the growth will follow.

I think it is a good thing. It allows people to be rewarded for participating in the forums. If it leads to spam then maybe a system of maximum credit per day, hour or both would have to be put in place.
