Youtube also does this to take out self viewing and things of that nature. Its normal the real time isnt 100% accurate some times especially when you get in to the higher view numbers

From a dev side this isn't something we could archive without dedicating massive resources in to heartbeat to create an archiving system.I personally do not delet anything I private or un-list and add to my "Old crap" Playlist which also isn't public probably the best option for you :-)
