Hey

I've had the problem before, never seem to have fixed it, but my videos are all pixelated after i have recorded them, even when edited there still the exact same just HD and 60fps. Any help on this one?

if there pixelated after recording it sounds like its your recordings settings in OBS not being set to the best settings. Try looking around online for some good OBS settings and see if that fixes it.

What bitrate are you running? Sounds like you're not using enough.

I'll normally run 50mbps (50000 in OBS) which should give you plenty of bitrate for 1080 60fps, obviously you will get bigger file sizes, so your system will have a good work out in your video editor

Simple Your monitor is the wrong size for what you are trying to export and you are confusing the pixels remember pixels are not an intelligent fourm of computing there very dumb and can only do one thing.
Hope this helps.

If you check my first video out you may see what i mean by the quality, even though it is in 1080p 60 fps and sharpened, it's not looking as though it is. I'll have a look at my settings, i've changed my bit rate but not tested yet so that my be my problem.

yeah dude i have this same problem and i kinda know how to fix it too XD
Firstly you have to goto settings
Now i dont know much in detail about the various options in OBS but what i believe can help you is changing the x264 CPU Preset
To do this open the Advanced look for the x264 CPU preset in the Video and change it to something like Medium or slow coz i noticed the faster you set it the more the quality reduces
Another thing you could do is Under the Encoding Tab uncheck Use CBR and change the quality balance to some higher number however bare in mind that doing this can actually mess with the framerate...sometimes the frame rate can be awesome and in an instant can tank like crazy
I havent really tried messed around with Bitrate so i can really say anything about that

Here are some of my OBS settings to get source quality recordings. The most important setting is the custom x264 Encoder line on the advanced tab where it says "crf=1" 1= Source Quality. After "crf" this number can range from 1-20, The higher the number the lower the quality. I recommend starting at a higher number (eg. 15-20) to be safe as it gets quite CPU intensive at the lower numbers. All you got to do is keep lowering that number after "crf=" until you get the quality you desire.

Most people get the encoding tab all mixed up and I've also included a image for that. When doing local recordings your bit rate doesn't actually need to be that high. It is all dependent on that "crf" setting i talked about earlier.

Hopefully this is helpful not only to you but anyone else having this problem.
