If you're a smaller channel I would go for just the funniest moments but if you think youve built a decent audience then do it without heavy editing
Let's play videos are kind of a dying genre in general. I mean the ones with light editing and a playthrough with episodes. Best to make gaming videos that can stand on their own rather than make a series.
If it's someone I really enjoy it can be done without any edits at all, although I haven't had the time to watch any LP videos at all lately 
well it can depend(according to me XD ).If you want like a lot of views and kinda fast then go for the more popular recently released games but if you want to do what you like and small games then do it because it will help in making a loyal fan base just slower than the above method
