What keeps you from quitting YouTube the next day?

People take breaks often on youtube. We could be uploading a month straight, then stop for a year without any rhyme or reason. You can develop strategies to stay on track, but it really depends on your motivation level. How do you typically keep your eye on the prize?

If I don't Upload after A break, I feel I Let my Fans down. Because to me, I want to do whatever my fans want to do. I've took two breaks My whole Youtube Life. I'm motivatived to do as Much as I can in The Fast Time Possibe and before anyone Else Does it.

The past is a good motivator. Looking at the progress I've made by not quitting, I'm motivated to keep pushing forward with content creation.

That's nice that you're dedicated to helping your viewers out ^^
I know one day ill be the most mlg sheep. There's plenty of people that fail and i do not wanna be one of. So i will keep pushing even if no one is watching :p
Avoiding the statistic of losing the youtube battle? You got got this!
I don't really feel any pressure. I just strive to improve and get better at it, and worry about numbers and stuff later.
That's a nice attitude to have, otherwise it can be a bit overwhelming at times.

People definitely lose out on a lot of progress if they leave too soon, you never know what results you can get because of going forward ^^

Because it's too much fun to quit.

I'm actually taking my first break in over a year starting Saturday because I'm sick though. Well sort of... I still plan to have some pre-recorded stuff uploaded during my break.

When Im feeling down, there is a youtube channel I watch. Its called MatueszM I think...
The videos he makes are mixes of powerful scenery, dramatic music and quotes from motivation speakers, movies, etc.
I suggest it to anyone who isnt feeling the motivation to continue.

Here is his latest video...

I know what you mean, I feel my best when I can record with a friend. Having pre-recorded content is nice, because it kills me to miss a video!

I'm out of town at the moment, but I'll update my response when I get home in seven hours ^^

after watching ur link I got in so sad mood I kinda realized I broke my life few times.. but anyway its great vid/music..

anyway.. I longed to start my yt channel to go with games I play and then I did it, it wasn't best but I enjoyed it, I didn't had anything besides 'bandicam' and some baner I bought off from one friend of mine.. but after a while I decided to quit it.. well I regret it, I regret reason why I did it, more than quit it..

so right now I am starting new.. my channel is extremely small, got again 6 subs but I upload on what I like, and how I like it.. tough the game is not know around the world to well, its less popular than chess and so on but will not stop it.. maybe at some point I will start upload some other games bur right now my pc still not at home, will get back here in 2 weeks so I will redo my videos and make them in English.. but right now I wont stop half way, just gonna go all way up, because that is what I wanna do..

The subs that follow me(though currently on a small break and deciding on my next video, damn my long thinking time!), and the comments which people share. Even if the comments can be negative or positive, other then that, I love editing and now in a film club at my local college to learn new techniques in editing for future videos.
Other then that, watching comedic Youtuber gamers (ex. TearofGrace,Scatsbury,Game Grumps,GSP,ect.) or watching educational videos (vsauce, braincraft, ect.) help during breaks or burnouts.

So yeah, I'm not quitting any time soon, but I do take breaks to prevent burnouts.

I did quit YouTube for a while, and was almost convinced that I wasn't going to go back to it, but after 6 months of hiatus, I realized that people were still liking and commenting on my videos, even though I was inactive. So, I decided to come back and a lot of people were happy for it. :) I guess there's that motivation.

I know a lot of my subs personally and if I don't post they ask when am I going to. So, nagging friends is my motivator. Also, i think it's fun to record and upload. the day it stops being fun, I'll stop.
That's great that you have a support system that will keep you on the right track ^^

I'm hopefully going to unveil some new videos myself when the new expansion comes out for my game. It's nice to work on your skills in the background when people have no idea what to expect :p

It's nice that you came back, you were around the same time I first started here as well ^^ I just took a longer break, hah.
