How can we help each other succeed?

It's been a while since I asked this, but how can we help each other succeed? People have been trying to go at this alone, for far too long. Sub4sub, shout outs, they're both not that optimal in the long span of everything. Quality, troubleshooting, finding assets, or meeting people stands out the most for me.

In the past, I considered giving coaching sessions to the new people on the forums. Basically, giving people a grilling of a lifetime to get the flow of creativity going, but I wonder how else we can offer help to those who deserve it. Is there anything special that you do, to help others succeed on here?

*Offer coaching sessions. (Fattmat)
*Discouraging sub4sub methods. (Fattmat)
* Give them helpful tips. (LuxrayBeats)
* Create a community team, discourage self-serving people. (Goped Fred)
* Join helpful support groups. (TwilightPrinze)

I'd propose instead of coaching we'd create a community team. There's power in numbers, and the more we can discourage the self-help mentality, the better the community will work. We need everyone to realize we're not here for self promotion, rather to come together as a community and promote each other. It will be more of a movement rather than an idea/opinion.

I think in order to help each other you have to be willing to give each other feedback, share tips and by socializing is a good way for growth.

I am currently busy with a Skype Group program where we make a group of people that active helps each other by sharing tips and tricks. We socialize in the group and get to know each other more, share our newest upload to recieve feedback trough a comment. So far i have noticed positive growth due to this and experienced that the members that are in it now enjoy the group as the focus is on being social and help each other along the way.

If you want to join in on this project then add me on skype: TwilightPrinze :)

Encouraging people to make more threads asking for help would be great! The issue currently, is when people decide they don't need help, and they start to go their own path of self-destruction.

I still feel that coaching can do amazing things to an individual person. Imagine being one-on-one with an experienced person in your field, it can be a life-changing experience, being able to ask any questions that are relevant to their experience.

As for having a community team, it'd be fantastic if we could organize something to show to George. To have a group dedicated to helping people with their channels, having quality checkers, or people that can spot mistakes ^^

Having a support group will keep motivations going strong. Then, having others telling you how to improve works even better. Once you gather enough proficient people, you tend to rise together ^^

Nice addictions guys, I appreciate the responses so far!

I'll contact you definitely, organizing something together can be huge for the forums, and freedom in general! After I do a few outlines, we can consider adding more people if we agree on likewise terms/ideas ^^
This is actually what i am trying to achieve with my group on skype. We have 19 people thus far and instead of spamming self promotion everyone is active on the social part and provide tips and help each other with questions.
Due to that were a smaller group we can help quicker and provide feedback.
Have to see how this is going further but as of now i am happy how it is turning out :)

Everything tends to start off small, and with the right leadership, or person getting the organization together, it can lead to awesome events ^^ Hopefully your group starts to work even better as time goes forward \o/
