As many of you have probably heard by now, unless you somehow managed to miss these news, IBM Japan is working on a VR MMO "Sword Art Online - The beginning". Not many details are known other than the fact that they will be using theyr newest SuperComputer and its Cognitive computing technology as well as "SoftLayer" newly established cloud computing department of IMB.
Alpha tests are going to be happening soon, so hopefully we will hear some more news on this. (Unless they keep a tight lid on it with NDA's). They have said that the you will be able to control the game with your body movements (not sure how that is going to be implemented) and your avatar in-game will be... well You as they will be 3d scaning everyone

With that out of the way, what do you guys think about it ? I think its great that we're finally at the point where someone is attempting to build an actuall VR (not the VR with a controller in hand), but untill I see the implementation it smells of overhyped project... Not to say that im not hyped for it xD This might actually make me get a VR headset and whatever else would be needed for the game
