opinions on my new thumbnail overlay im thinking of using :)?

This will probably be extremely simple and everything to most people but i'm pretty happy with it, wanted it to match the style i have on my banner and such, let me know what you think thanks guys!

That overlay is simple and clean and yet it looks very nice! You have brought me up an idea to make a sort like thing with my own channel name

It's an overall good design!
I would actually suggest, aside from making the font larger, to put it on the other side. That way, it balances out the design you have on the bottom left hand corner, and it won't be too "text heavy" on just one side.
