Lately there have been a lot of things going on concerning reaction channels. More in detail the community guidline rules they break.

I think these type of channels are the most scumbag type of channels (Fine Bros not included, well... before their smart decision on trying to get the word : "REACT" copyrighted...).

Stealing other peoples content without permission and without much editing.
Whilest other youtubers that have done NOTHING wrong get their channels suspended, videos removed and videos demonitized.
Whilest these reaction "channels" get to keep the videos up, don't get a copyright strike and don't get their channel suspended eventhough they clearly violate the community guidline rules.

Is it me or is youtube starting to act like a dictator lately?

I was wondering how the Freedom! community views these kind of channels AND their view on youtubes policy.

Comment down below, but keep it civilised and user friendly.

I belive that there is nothing wrong with reaction channels...but there are a few wrong things with youtube...if a gaming channel gets copyrighted then a reacting channel should get as well...The problem is not on the channels but on the ppl who allow them to do that type of videos

I usually think about ethics of YouTube content, fair use and whatnot.

If I look at a reaction channel, I particularly look at the type of content that the 'reactor' is reacting to. If it's a top popular video, I can't stand the creator as it was obviously stolen from the original owner and used without permission.

I had to repetitively repeat my words to one upstart that reaction channels with a subscriber base do nothing but steal from the creator. Those without a large base usually aren't so bad for the theft as people will see the 'reaction' after the original video. But like Jinx did in the former time, he has so many subscribers that views themselves were being ripped from channels as the subscriber would then have no reason to view the original video, thus stealing potential earnings from the creator.

Just giving credit is not enough in the creative space. One must have explicit and provable permission to use the content.

HOWEVER, if the channel asks, gets, and proves permission for use. I'm fine with it. TheFineBros make the best example by following all legal protocols to ensure they're not violating the copyright owner's copyright ownership, and then furthermore show only snippets rather than the entire thing to give at least some incentive to see the originals.

It depends I do like reaction channels but there are some who react and don't credit or put a link in the description and others do. My Favorite Reaction Channel is BlastphamousHD he does make funny reactions to viral or try not to laugh videos and doesn't react in silence like others do ...Jinx. of cause this is my opinion but I do believe that if you don't credit or don't put a link in the description plus don't reacting in silence (e.g. Not adding any additional content to it) its basically stealing.

I think if your a funny guy who actually adds something to the video then reaction videos are fine but watching someone just sit and say 3 sentences in the space of twenty minutes is horrible. I prefer reviewing things.

I have to say that some "react" videos could be really funny but... I can't help but hating them!
I think that it could be really REALLY easy to take contents from someone, add a facecam and... STOP!
Where is YOUR content? Only your ugly face making some strange grimaces (is it the right word in english?)?
A bit different are, for example, guys who add some funny comments and some of THEIR contents, to unseen videos of strange kids or something like that, making that video funnier than before.
Even if I've always thought it was "illegal" doing these things, since the author of the original video can report it or even claim it...
But now... you're telling me... that these THIEVES... do not even get a report from youtube?
