Hey guys

Would it be legal to use a 3D model of lets say Nathan Drake in a youtube video? Or does that fall under copyright infringement?

Thanks

I think it depends, if you're using it in a way that it would be protected under fair use, yes you can. But if not, it would most likely fall under copyright infringement just like any other form of media.

Ok. Go with Blender if you going for 3d. for the most part you can't go wrong. What you can go wrong is learning how it work. It not an easy tool.

Hey thanks for the reply. However I think you misunderstood my question, haha :)
I'm wondering if I could use a 3D model I've found one the internet and just implement it in my video, or would this be against copyright law? The Model even might be one out of a original game

If that model is from the game it falls against copyright law and you CAN NOT USE IT! If the model was created from scratch in a "likeness of the character" meaning not an exact copy of their character and you get permission from its creator then its perfectly legal to use.
