It appears that development work for Mortal Online 2 is progressing full steam ahead, with new patches being deployed almost every week. In the 0.0.0.2 patch, a rudimentary day and night cycle, experimental combat system, and various bug fixes and other improvements have been introduced.
One thing I have noticed is that at night the environment is not only extremely dark but at times can resemble a horror video game, and when combat occurs it does look grittier than during the day. All in all, I think it fits the tone and atmosphere of the game very well.
