The 1990s saw the rise of many legendary video games, some of which became genre-defining while others went on to join the pantheon of the greatest video games of all time. In 1992, Star Control 2: The Ur-Quan Masters was released, and since that time it has won numerous awards, as well as the prestigious honour of being named as one of the greatest video games of all time.
The video game industry may have moved on since then, but almost 30 years later Star Control 2 remains so iconic and memorable to many fans of the series like myself. It is little wonder that a fan-remake of the game exists and is still being downloaded and played today. I invite you to join me now as I travel through hyperspace and befriend one of the alien races of the Star Control universe.
