I haven't played Smash Bro's in a long time. I used to play Link, Marth, and Ike. I believe I primarily played Link, but it's been a while.

I play mostly Ike out of the three, a powerhouse of a character.

Personally I like Link as well. He's a nice character to play with, and his attacks are pretty easy to get used to. I personally like the down and up A moves, as well as the Up B.

Link's stages like Hyrule Temple and Great Bay are awesome to play on! And one thing I like about link's grab, is he can hookshot the ledge to get back up.
