When you Should Start using Patreon???

Patreon is a great site for YouTubers will a good crowd, being 10,000-100,000. it's really nice to have because you can make a great amount of money, but if you don't have a loyal fan base, you wouldn't be making TONS of money, but money none the less, my question is, how big should your fan base be to start using Patreon?

I've seen some small channels that make good money on patreon, while I've also seen huge channels do very poorly on patreon

I think it depends...

Personally I actually think it works better for smaller channels.. simply because the donors don't feel they need to financially support a larger youtuber that much... and smaller youtubers have more time for they're fans

With Patreon, usually you need to offer something back in return, like you give something away to your patron followers, and that can be a problem for smaller Youtuber like myself because you cant give them something in return, besides being loyal and wanted this YouTuber to succeed. whats the point you know??

I agree with @Hail Kira its better to go for it now and have a small channel because bigger youtubers will have more money and small youtubers are trying to get noticed they will talk with there subs a lot more aswell

I would only use a Patreon if I need the money to keep the channel afloat. Something to give extra to an editor if I ever get one or something like that.

If a YouTuber doesn't need the money, they shouldn't start one.
