Hey! So I was talking with a friend who also does Youtube, and we were discussing subscribers. When you look at it number wise something like 278 doesn't seem like a lot, but when you think about people that are behind that screen, that's where the humbling factor comes in. Think about it. You have X amount of people that are subbed to you, that watch your videos. This X amount are real people. There are real faces behind those screens. Sure it can be scary, or sure it can be exciting, but there are real people that watch your videos. Some of them watch more than once! So Let's all keep that in mind as we gain a new subscriber. They're people, they like to be recognized as well.

In a way i know what you mean, but!
Now lets take a look at the analystics. How many of those 'Subbed' people actually watch your content? I have 350+ video's and 125 Subscribers at the moment. Now 6% of those Subs watch my new content and 94% is other (Note that i NEVER did S4S). Now the question! Why do people sub if only a X% watches your content. What is somone's drive to sub but not watch?

I sub channels I want to see content of again for ease of convienience. I can't say I have a huge issue in subs being horribly inactive. I average at least a 25% re-watch rate, which is fairly good. The sub box is really wonky if you're anything less than like 1000 subs, or other factors factored in. A lot of people don't actually click on the my subscriptions box, so they may not see your video right away!

Hmm that could explain alot indeed. That in combination with lets be fair that not every video may pick interest. I have a channel with a diverse range and one game does better then the other, especially with subscribers. Now i am more of a vieuws person then a sub person. The more vieuws my video scores the happier i become. Sure, gaining subs is nice but seeing your video growing beyond the 1k, 2k and so on vieuws with positive comments and likes means more to me then the sub count.

I like views, but I like having the comments. Subs are the most likely to give you comments. It's just always weird thinking about the face behind the screen.

This is why I make sure when I do a vlog I thank the guys and gals that watch my videos. I'd like to build a community around my channel. I want my subscribers to know that I care what they think about my content.

At the end of the day my subscribers keep my channel going and motivate me to do the best that I can.
