If you even unsure about the gameplay trailers, you could always send the companies a email or they normally have something mentioned on their websites or FAQ's about whether or not you can use their content. As for gameplay from other channels, again to be safe I would always message them just so you have something to show if they ever claim your video, not saying it would happen but its always better to be safe, and also by contacting them they could be open to collab or something like that :)

Hover over your icon in the top right corner and click signature, then what you can do to make things easier is go to http://cyanlabs.net/youtubesig/

This will generate your YT banner, and you can manually place in views or subscriber milestones, which will update automatically. Then all you need to do is copy and paste the link they give you into the box under the "edit signature" page, which you got to with the instructions above, obviously make sure to save the changes then your all good to go :)

Promotion is the key, try and engage with the wider community - get yourself well known and people will probably start taking more interest, also be sure that your uploading on a consistent schedule, this doesn't have to be everyday it could be once a week or something like that. Also be sure to take time create good quality content and try and make your videos stand out - what I mean by that is don't do the same videos that loads of other creators have (for example Lets Plays of old games) as this will only reduce your chances of being seen.

As for gameplay trailers it is best to check on the company's website if you are allowed to use that content for your own wich in most cases is a no go.

As for gameplay from other youtubers i would contact them and ask in what terms you are able to use their content as without credit this could be a problem.
