I have quite a large project coming up and I want to give it a good polish to the ending.
There will be a clip where a character is walking down a lane from a fixed camera prospective at night. I'm looking to have him snap his fingers and a large, blue portal open up in front of him. When he steps through the portal, I want it to close behind him and have him gone (I'll supply footage of him walking and footage without him in frame).
How difficult is this effect to do? I want the portal to look real and in the scene, so some basic lighting would be nice. The scene will be at night.
