Most of you may not know...
But I first started making videos almost 20 years ago. And i thought I would share a little retro with ya.

Back then youtube didnt exist. And videos were generally made on vhs tapes. One thing alot of people can appreciate is editing. Editing is awesome these days.

Back when I was a kid we edited with these things

They are basically glorified vcrs that you could control frame by frame. Line up a scene to copy and record.

Problem with this is every time you recorded from one tape to another you would lose some of the original quality. Which is why digital was a big advamcement... you could make copies and edits forever without losing the original video quality.

Anyways... thats your retro blast to the past for today... have a good day!

Time sure flies at times, it's insane how much technology people have advanced upon the last few years alone. I remember watching videos on the VHS, and then DVD. Now all I need is the internet to function with watching movies any time, heh. Recording sounded like a lot of effort before.

Soooo.. just how old ARE you? :p
I am 33 years old now...
I remember I had all the star wars movies on VHS :D Editing on them sounds pretty horrible

Do you still have any of the videos you made 20 years ago?
I didnt keep any of the films we made... We worked in groups and I just let my partners keep the videos. Being a shy person in an acting/film class... I never wanted to see those tapes again... rofl but it would be cool to look back at lol.

Yeah it was complicated back then, and the cameras were huge. But, it was the coolest class cause they gave you a camera and let you go anywhere and do anything you wanted.

TV's were definitely more bulky as well, I remember that. Everything definitely shrunk down over the years, which is nice because I hate moving heavy equipment, hah. Having a camera to explore in different areas would be a fun experience. I haven't branched too far outside of my own home
