Yeah i need to get a new graphics card to use with the HTC Vive when I get it in June. So I have been hoping they release the new pascal cards before then.
I would hate to buy a 980ti and have it outperformed a month later...

Fair play, I'm still on a tight budget.
I've got two choices atm buy a pc or beef up the macs graphics card.
Ahh... I built my PC last year so its still pretty up to date... but i have gtx 960s in sli... so they probably will not get good performance with VR. They were originally only intended for 1080p gaming on my TV.
Well I think its happening... there is even leaked benchmarks online today for the gtx 1080 if you are interested in snooping. Or you can wait for official word from nvidia.
I'm not to PC savvy so I am a bit worried about building one, thinking of just buying an off the self and doing what I have with mac and just add plug and play bits in.
The hive VR stuff looks amazing.

The gtx 1080 is a beast... twice as fast as a titan x, 8gb gddrx memory, for only $599.
Im getting it right away...

1070 June 10 $379 (faster than titan x)
Also in the presentation was some new stuff added to the drivers including being able to take extremely high definition photos or even 360 degree photos in game. As well as some new VR and multi monitor upgrades.
