Hey guys !

I know have only been on the forum for a short while, but I have noticed that there is a massive number of new forum members joining (mainly Gaming) introducing there channels and then POOF ! they vanish never to be seen again.

What do you guys think about this ? I personally find it quite frustrating and i have only been around a short time :/

the thing is that I am no way inclined to subscribe to someone that has one post and it simply says "plz sub 2 me I has gr8 content" they are just wasting time and wasting forum space IMHO.

I agree, it is rather annoying to see people doing this. I actually just saw a thread in the introduction tab of someone linking their video, not even discussing what their channel was about. Just a straight up video link. In my opinion, people like that never have good content, and only make it as far as they do by spamming their link everywhere, tricking people who only see it in one place into clicking on it. It is so commonplace these days, but at least it isn't as bad on here as it is on big youtuber's comments sections...

yeah i know its not too bad it just annoys me, as there is people like us that are trying to provide good content and grow within a community and in turn getting the community its self to grow, you get these guys not putting any effort in :(

Like you said on the other thread, those people are just in it for the money, not the fun or joy in doing it. They may make it far, but they will be missing the whole point, and that is actually kinda sad.

It happens a lot, people imagine when they join, piles of money will just appear. It takes a little time for knowing what to do on the forums.

Many new people view this place in a manner adverse to our intentions when we operate. We intend for it to be a place where one can come and get scores of knowledge to help them grow. SEO tips, graphics, and other miscellaneous bits and pieces of knowledge to help on grow their channel. These are the things that result in true organic growth of one's brand. Organic growth is the only true growth, relying on a particular community to get your content does not help you grow, despite the occasional gain of views and subscribers when doing it.

Adversely, many new people show up here and view it as yet another medium for advertising their content. These people have the sole intention of getting views and subscribers without the intention of helping someone else get the same. Interestingly enough, that is a positive and a negative, when you put the two together you get zero. That logic states: +1 - 1 = 0, meaning they don't gain anything from their post here, since they only want to help themselves, but at the same time, nobody wants to help them.

It is not wrong to think that the majority of these people are desperate to reach the vision they have of their channel. Evident by the methods that they have chosen to use in an effort to try to 'grow' the channel, their vision came to them in a ridiculous pipe dream, making whatever plan they had for their channel something that will never come to be.

I have given up on trying to help these people, but I'll pass it to you. Your one and true community, the only one that will help you grow, is YouTube. Reddit does not help you grow, these forums or any other forum do not help you grow, Google communities, Facebook pages (that are not yours), they do not help you grow whatsoever. YouTube and YouTube alone is where your channel is, so that is where you viewers are. Your viewers have never heard of /r/NewTubers, or whatever Google community one might use, they only know YouTube. You must know how to manipulate YouTube to your greater advantage if you want to succeed.
