Depends what system your playing on, as if your playing on a console you can get around not having one by using the built in recording software, the Xbox allows you to record up to 30mins I believe and the PS4 up to an hour.

You could buy a Avermedia live gamer portable for £100.
And this is a cheaper option for capture cards that allow for 60fps at 60mb/s recording and streaming

well thanks everyone. I will have a look. sadly my grandad is very ill which is not good, but the money from his will hopefully help me get back on my feet, I know that he would have wanted his family to be as happy as possible
