so i got a HUGE virus last night and which locked my entire system completely i couldnt even start it up in safe mode.

i had to reformat/reimage my pc and start from scratch....grrrr

i was very very pissed i lost 95% of what was on my pc. but i did back up all my recordings on to a usb drive like 3 days ago

so i didnt loose any footage THANK GOD.

i did how ever loose SOME game data. the sims 4 i lost all the game data to. most of my games were on steam and steam back up files to the cloud THANK GOD.

i was very very lucky this could have been so much worse but its still really annoying that i had to redo my entire pc. ive lost alot of stuff but it could have been alot worse

Yay for poopy computers! I had a whole week without computer and I was (literally) crying 'cause I lost all my commissions (had to cancel them) and couldn't record. Finally got it fixed, but had to spend $300 to buy new parts. :(

That's horrible, how did you get the virus? I get scared because my life's work is in this computer, and if I lost my assets, it would suck incredibly! I need to get some kind of USB drive just in case

Use some sort of cloud storage such as OneDrive or Google Drive and sync your folders with it. I've done so with my Laptop full of college work on case my Laptop gets nicked or damaged!
I have OneDrive, I should learn how to optimize it better. Thanks for the reminder about the program, it can make a world of difference!
