Hey guys I'm seeing threads about Best Games Of 2015 and games that you're looking forward to,
but which games of 2015 were the most surprising to you? I'm talking about games that sort of looked okay to you, or maybe they looked bad, but once you played them you were pleasantly surprised?
Mine would have to be Rocket League. The concept itself sounded silly to me. The gameplay footage, okay it looked like it had potential, maybe playing a few matches a night would be a fun time killer for a couple weeks.
But when I played it.... OMG. First night I played the game I sat there for 6.5 hours straight without getting out of a chair. This happened nearly every night... and to this day I still put about 10 hours a week into it with my friends. It's so hard to explain and describe the addiction to the game, but Rocket League was definitely a huge surprise for me.
Another one that comes to mind is WWE 2K15. Been playing WWE games since Smackdown Just Bring It, but WWE 2K15 has got to be the biggest disappointment of the past decade as far as video games are concerned. Was very hesitant picking up 2K16 but they really worked hard to improve the game and I appreciate it a lot. A huge step forward from the previous year.
