Hi friends,
So we've noticed there's a lot a videos where they do a lot of "pranks." Personally we don't really care for these channels because some of them are obviously fake. We miss back when the word "prank" meant real, genuine, pranks. Now we feel like everything is staged just to get views. We were wondering how you guys felt about this, if it bothers you, if it annoys you? If you completely disagree with us, that's fine too, we are open to all ideas

I feel like it's just an excuse to be mean to people, and get paid for it. There are real pranks out there that deserve credit. But, in the end, depending on the severity of their pranks, public opinion can shut them down hard, heh.

I hate that people thing they can do the worst things to other people and just say "it's a prank bro" and then they have to act like its no big deal.

It can get old quickly, I remember seeing others that just record strangers, and post their reactions to youtube, it's a shame.

we agree, we miss when pranks were actual pranks and they weren't just people being jerks to other people.

Maybe someday it'll change in the future, YouTube might be changing and enforcing their guidelines soon ^^

That would be great, too bad they are still popular and shared a lot on facebook. One step at a time though I guess lol

The only pranks I accept are the ones that are mild, amusing and something the "victim" can laugh about when the prank is revealed, kinda like Just for Laughs Gag.

Yes! when the person who is being pranked is able to laugh about it, because the prank itself is harmless, then that's a good prank.

Now i forgot this guy's name but he runs a channel where he does what he calls *Pranks* by strangers. Acting like he is on the phone and make a trash talk about the one next to him or tickles someone under the chin for no reason. The many times he got a punch for what he did is countless times...
Now people like that are beyond annoying...

Yeah, those are the "pranks" that we hate to see. Ones that aren't even pranks.
