Analyze what is most populair on your channel. What type of content attracts most views and try to build up from there.
Socialize on forums and usage of social media to get your name out there. By expanding your personal network you open up new ways and may even gain tips on how to improve things :)

I usually go by with what content people are on watching and build from there. That usually leads to more growth generally.

I checkout out your channel. I liked you content but noticed the EXTREME lack of views according to your Sub:View ratio. Did you take a long break from your YouTube channel? Did you complete Sub4Sub on your channel? Regardless, both methods hurt a channel.

But anyways, I would most certainly suggestion utilizing Twitter, Google+, and various YT Gaming forums around the web. Hell, even Reddit would make a good choice depending on what video it is. My first two Reddit posts made my videos gain 100+ views. If you head over to my channel, you can identify that it was the first episode of both series that I'm running.

While I do agree with "follow the money" (or in your terms, "follow the views"), I wouldn't suggest that you make videos according to what gets viewed. Someone in this forum thread suggested that you see what people enjoy the most (identified as a video with the highest amount of views - or so they said), then make more of those similar videos. While this may be a potential starting for your channel, I would not recommend it. Unless you truly enjoy making those select videos that gain popularity like crazy, you will get bored of the content and start to despise your channel.

I had another channel that had over 300+ subscribers because I was constantly playing Club Penguin. One day I got tired of CP... and BAM all my views were GONE. People started unsubscribing. Attract the fan base you want to attract. Don't do it based off of a select videos series.

Yeah use videos that you have more views as starting point in growing your channel, upload more of that, ask your fans what they will like to see, try with some interesting thumbnails because they are the reason for the most case why people click on your video. :)
