Thumbnails are kinda easy to do (But sometimes can be time consumeing), what I normally do is take a screanshot of gameplay, then open up fireworks (Other photo editing software will do as well). Slap my name and then the series name (If it is a series I am doing). though with mine I still changing little bits and improving what I can. Also if it is a series you can also put a number (As in number of the episode/ part) somewhere in there.

But I also am kinda new at YouTube, so my advice may not be the best haha.

With the intro and outro I paid someone to do mine, but I sure someone on the Freedom! Forums will be able to help you for free.

With thumbnails, I wouldn't go out and spend money on apps like Photoshop or anything until you are sure you like where your channel is heading. Say you decide you don't want to update your YouTube channel anymore you may find it was a waste of money. Paint.net is a good program which is free and easy to use, much better than the standard paint app on windows PC's.

With intros and outros you may want to start by using a free website, such as http://freeintromaker.com/ this way you get a professional looking intro and outro at no expense to you until you feel like you either want to learn how to use software or pay someone to make it for you.

Hope this helped at least a little bit. Goodluck with your channel!

@Willfarrant Yes that is true no point forking out money, the only reason I got Fireworks is because I use it for my job (Kinda handy when it comes to making stuff for my YouTube channel). But if you don't want to fork out money also GIMP https://www.gimp.org/ is a free image software which you can use.

There also a few sites out there that can make intro's for free, at the minute none come to mind though, but I sure google can help you.

Honestly, I'd recommend downloading a Intro Pack(Cinema 4D Templates), and getting a Free Trial of Cinema 4D, Editing the text to your own name, and then using that, for your intro and outro, If you didn't want to Pay that is.

I do that sometimes, but I personally have little experience in Creating Intro's or OuTro's unless it's using old game clips..

Best Of Luck!
