Hello, I run a technology, gaming, unboxing, and review channel called TheIGameGuy but I wanted to know for the technology part of my channel, is it okay to just make a video about whatever? Should I try to focus into like one thing and only branch off occasionally?

I've seen a lot more growth with channels who take a more focused approach, and branch off a bit later when they have more of a following. Take what you will from that...

Thanks for the tip. If you can, can you recommend which approach I should take?

well you could do unboxing and then review the item you unboxed in a 2 parter and if not in box then no unbox video

That's kind of up to you. Some people focus on a game, or just reviews, and others find more of a niche in the way they approach everything like through satire (but this last one really needs to be backed by someone entertaining and charismatic).

Alright, so I made a jailbreaking video and it became one of my most popular videos, more popular than some that have been out for a couple months, in a week

I'm in a similar situation actually! I'm eager to see some inputs for this but lately I've been thinking of just starting a new channel that's gaming focused and keep my current channel tech focused.

That way, I can upload more gaming content to the gaming channel and not have to worry about it overpowering my main channel.

Not sure if this is the best way to go about it though!

Yeah I feel gaming is harder for me for starting a channel, so I would recommend doing technology until you get popular enough to get a capture card and all that.

How do you want to structure your channel? It is best to spend a good amount of time pondering your own wants and needs before taking the recommendations of others.

As for choosing a way it is amways a difficult choice. I for example run a gaming channel with a variety of gaming content. I noticed one particular series wich is an MMO is most succesfull and sometimes a other video scores well. As said above you can experiment a little but always keep one series your main. This is what works for me. I have one main series and post some other games in between.

If you don't have source of specific technology stuff like cellphones or cameras than go with everything you can get. Better something then nothing!
