I am looking into building a new PC for recording and streaming, but I can't decide on the CPU. On newegg there is not much difference between a Haswell and Skylake i5 on the specs and the price.

Can't decide between a i5 4460 or a i5 6500. Is there a big difference between the two processors that would really impact the build in terms of performance? Other research says stick with Haswell for compatibility. Just want some more opinions lol. Thanks!

yeah, i'd stick with haswell for compatibility. i personally use skylake but haswell will be much easier and less expensive to use in the future.
