Copyright or not?

I've recently read this: If your work is for educational purposes, then use of copyrighted material falls under the "Fair Use" provision, which allows reasonable use of copyrighted work, without permission, for research, criticism, or education. A notice at the beginning or end of your production giving credit to copyright owners for their work is usually sufficient. Be aware, however, that not citing sources, or attempting to pass off copyrighted material as your own work, is not considered "fair use." It is plagiarism and can result in harsh penalties.

So as the lore series that i am starting will technically be educational, does that mean it will fall under fair use? ShoddyCast did a Elder Scrolls lore series and that is classed as educational so mine definitely should be. So basically if it is educational does it mean i don't have to worry about copyright as of course fair use?

Well you did not really specify what kind of content you want to use and for what kind of video, but yes if the video is mainly educational it does fall under fair use law. Though be ware that it does not mean you are 100% safe from the copyright claims, quite the opposite, fair use law allows you to disagree with the claims, but you must be able to prove the educational value of your content or else the fair use law will do you no good.

So say there was a video about gods and just explaining the history behind the gods? I mean gods in mythology so like Greek, Roman and whatever else. Would that be ok?

As far as I am aware, yes that should be completely fine
Ok thanks, because it really worries me and you just confirm so it would be completely fine for me to take images off Google images and use them in my videos? Sorry to keep asking but I really don't want to mess up.

If you are creating your own content then it should be fine, but if you just say a few words then show a 5 minute video that someone else made then that would still be copyright.

I would be speaking all the way through while showing picture so would that be ok?

Yep sounds fine, the main thing youtube picks up on is video and music
Ok thanks for the help, that has made me a lot less worried. I will be using music but I'll get that off a copyright free website.

That's still a careful bit. If it is someone else video or audio content that is in the video as a whole.
In April area, a fan released a fan-made trailer for Donald Trump. Titled "Trump Effect" it took audio from Mass Effect 2 and video from throughout the election so far and some clips from elsewhere to help prove that point. This was fair use, and EA was still distributing strikes for it.

While it probably won't happen to you as long as you add enough content for it to be called your own, at least enough like in the example above, then you should be fine. But know that a content owner can still strike you if you only loosely fit fair use guidelines, and by the sounds of it, you will be fitting loosely into it. Since you'll be talking over a background playing clip of something.

I'll be using purely just pictures and all the music i get will be from copyright free music websites, the only other audio is of course my commentary.

Images are in a better state than video for fair use.
Just make sure you give proper creators attribution to ensure it's all fine and dandy.

if you use any copyright. then you have to really be careful. just put in the description where you get it and that you disclaim it. and put also the link of it where it came from. and that all doesn't matter if it's for a reasonble use or a good reason. copyright is copyright and most of the companies don't wanna have that.
