Hi everybody,

can somebody explain me this part of the contract, thankyou.

7.2 Upon termination of this Agreement, Freedom! shall retain ongoing rights over the Talent’s Content that was subject to this Agreement and shall continue to monetize the content that is syndicated or distributed. For clarity, this does not apply to any content created after termination of this Agreement. This section survives even after termination of this Agreement.

To sum it up. While you are a partner of Freedom and you upload to YouTube is claimed by them so you ear 60% and Freeodm earns 40%. So when you break the contract with freedom what ever you have upload din the past when still partnered with freedom will still be claimed by Freedom Network. But what ever you upload after have left freedom is yours. So they still claim there 40% of the money made on that video still after the contract is broke.

With regards to this, and this is purely my opinion on this - I have asked for more clarification on this - this section applies is you used any of the content on any sharing service operated by, or offered by Freedom. For example if you gave Freedom the rights to share your content over their social media or an update video or things of that nature, or used it for a syndication opportunity then Freedom would still be able to monetise this after you leave the partnership.

Whilst in the partnership, and where the confusion can often arise is that Freedom gives you full autonomy over your content. What that means is you can do whatever you like with it and they won't stop you - meaning if you wish to change things, promote it a certain way or even delete old videos then they will not stop you. This clause is only there if they use part or all of your previous content and you leave they can still claim monetisation on it and you wouldn't be able to file a claim or dispute notification - a big example of this would be people creating music for use for the Freedom network, through CRIB for example - once they distribute that then they can't say Freedom can't monetise it
