It's no secret Blizzard's World of Warcraft has been dropping subscribers like a bleeding evisceration. At it's highest reaching 12 million subscribers give or take from Cataclysm launching in 2010. Since then the situation has not improved and subscribers are still leaving in droves.

Now Blizzard has stopped posting World of Warcraft Subscriber numbers citing,

"Note that this is the last quarter that we plan to provide the subscriber number as there are other metrics that are better indicators of the overall Blizzard business performance."

There is a World of Warcraft movie coming out but it's not a guarantee this can be enough to revitalize WoW.

An interesting topic!

I'm not a World of Warcraft player and I probably know just as much as you do, "orcs vs. humans" haha. :p However, I do agree that the sudden stop in reporting subscriber numbers can be an indication of a decline in interest for the game. This number is important because if I happen to be someone who wants to play World of Warcraft, I would like to know how many players are subscribed so I have an idea of how many people are playing the game, I wouldn't want to play a MMORPG with a small player base, especially one that's been around for so long, that says something!

I have also noticed that there have been far fewer World of Warcraft topics being discussed on the internet now-a-days.

Any way, solid commentary as always @rumandapples, keep up the good work!
