i am currently using my x32 turtle beach headset for recording, i record PC games and this is an Xbox headset, the results are not the best. so recently I've come to the realization that the quality of my videos is piss poor because of the audio.

I have been looking around for a while and just cannot find the perfect headset for me. my main problem is that i have a gaming laptop (msi GE60) for those of you who don't know it produces allot of background noise this means i need a good headset not mic, (as i normally record on my bed) that i can produce very good quality content and cut out the background noise that my computer fan makes.

I have been looking around for months now and as i'm not the best when it comes to audio i really need some help from people who know a thing or two about recording for youtube.

thanks for the help

If you are wanting to just have a microphone then I would probably recommend the Blue Yeti Professional Microphone which you can pick up for £99 at Curry's PCWorld. ( http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/comput...1619!&ef_id=VeiDgwAAACeesyK2:20151215183704:s)

If you want to use a microphone with a camera to do a face-cam then I would suggest you use a microphone attached to the camera as then you don't need to sync your videos with the sound so you speed up production.
I use the RODE VideoMic Go at the moment as my microphone which attaches to my Nikon D3200. I like this mic but if you have more money available then maybe consider the Pro version.

I can't think of a headset which would give you great quality recording, mainly because I do not use a headset! Sorry.

Hope this helps!

You can just use any regular game headset i currently use a PX4 but i use a blue snowball mic to record my voice I would recommend getting one, there is also an other mic called a blue yeti but i dont have one so i can only give you my opinion on the blue snowball mic and if you do buy one also get a pop filter.

The reason your laptop makes so much noise is probably because you're using it on a bed.
In most laptops, there are vents placed underneath it and blocking it will cause heating issues as well as some noise.
I would recommend using it on a flat, solid surface.

As for recording, you're never going to get very good quality from a headset microphone, you're going to have to get a dedicated one.
That being said, I don't think you need to be spending $100 - 200 on a microphone, at least not in the beginning.
There are many cheap, good quality entry level microphones available at lower rates; a great example would be the Audio Technica ATR2500 and I think you should look into this one. It is definitely one of the better mics that I have used.

Godspeed stranger.
