Quality over quantity. Focus on improving the quality of your content before worrying about the numbers. Be that editing, commentary, whatever.

With thumbnails the best approach is a mix between attention grabbing but not click-bait and informative of the video's content. So, not too flashy but not too boring. Balance.

I hate to be a pessimist but that's just how I feel now and all the changes they keep making just keep proving further and further how true that is. Literally every change YouTube has made over the past couple of years has only served to make it more and more difficult for smaller content...

I use movie studio Platinum myself I can't afford anything better at the moment but it gives me the option when I go to render the video to set all of that stuff manually, resolution, bitrate, frame rate and so on.

This is also true it takes me like 8 hours to render one video now but ultimately I consider it worth it. It's all subjective though. The point is I was just trying to help and that's what matters ultimately
