Well firstly you really need to enable the "customised channel layout" in the cog next to your subscribe button. I've got a feeling its going to be a credits store item, as it has been removed from user permissions around the time the store was in Beta and the signature customisation category as 1 more item than is currently visible

Its nice that it is there, however I personally use f.lux to change my screens temperature after sundown. dark mode is a nice idea but you really need your whole pc to be in the theme for your eyes sake. I just find f.lux a lot easier to use and pleasing on the eyes.
