My name is TheFemoDemo and I am brand new to YouTube. Before April of 2014 I rarely used YouTube, and when I did it was for the sole purpose of watching various trailers or reviews of video games. One day while watching trailers for the upcoming game "Dying Light", I stumbled across a YouTuber named PewDiePie. I had used YouTube so little before this point that I had never heard of him. I watched his Dying Light gameplay video, and from that point I knew I was hooked. I now find myself watching his videos daily, and this has allowed me to become more involved in the YouTube community. Within a few months I realized that I wanted to start a channel. I had the equipment, I had the drive, now all I needed was to put in the effort, and I did. I started my channel in early October of 2014 with the goal of making it great, and I will.
I am not afraid to put myself out there, to share my life with other people and to allow them to connect with me as people do with PewDiePie. I want a community surrounding my channel where people feel as though they're among friends and that they have some kind of purpose. This dream caused me to start asking my subscribers to suggest games. I want my subscribers to help with my growth instead of just observing my growth.
In the future, when I have a larger subscriber base, I'd like to create vlogs of my travels as PewDiePie does (this goes back to the idea that I am not afraid to put myself out there). As a PewDiePie fan, some of my favorite videos to watch are his vlogs. They make me feel like more than just a number among his millions of subscribers. I want my subscribers to feel the same way I have with PewDiePie in the past. I in no way want to be a clone of PewDiePie, I simply want to take the aspects of his channel that inspire me most, and implicate them within my own channel.
I have the proper equipment and I am willing to put in the effort necessary to create a superb channel. I have full access to software for audio, video, and photo editing, and I have a computer that can run almost every game on the highest quality graphics at a very smooth frame rate. This allows me to bring higher quality videos to my subscribers and is a key aspect of any successful channel. The only piece of equipment that is not of the highest standard is my microphone, but within a few months I will have a new microphone that provides exceptional audio fidelity.
Overall I want to create a channel where people feel they are a part of a community, a channel where anyone whether they be a random viewer or a dedicated subscriber can contribute. My goal is to reach the point where I can upload three or more videos every weekday and one or two on the weekends. Most importantly, I want to have fun. This is what originally caused me to decide to create a channel. Seeing how much fun PewDiePie has with his channel truly inspired me and pushed me to create my own.
